Lesson 01
Position before points
Why depth matters more than the daily candle
A wrestler who scrambles for points from a bad position gets reversed. In a market, position is liquidity: how much can move through the pool before price slips. Read the depth relative to daily volume before you read the price. Thin depth with heavy volume means every exchange moves the score.
Lesson 02
Conditioning is the edge
What holding through a third period actually costs
Matches are decided in the last minute, when technique is equal and lungs are not. Long holding periods are conditioning: the ability to stay in position when the tape is ugly. The Workrate Leaderboard ranks by duration for exactly this reason — it measures the thing that is hard, not the thing that is easy to buy.
Lesson 03
Cutting weight is a warning sign
Reading concentration across weight classes
When supply concentrates into a handful of heavyweight wallets, the bracket gets brittle: one exit sets the price for everyone. Spread across many small and mid classes is a healthier room. Watch how supply share moves between classes over weeks, not hours.
Lesson 04
The scramble tells you who is leaning
Buy and sell counts as a live position battle
Trade counts, not just volume, show intent. Many small buys against few large sells is a different match than the reverse, even at identical volume. The position battle in The Mat Room is the simplest honest read of who is currently driving.
Lesson 05
You cannot fake mat time
Why this site reports modelled data as modelled
A coach who inflates a record loses the room. Robinhood Chain does not publish a wallet list yet, so every wallet-level figure here is estimated from live market data with a stated method — and labelled that way on every page. Real numbers are marked real. Estimates are marked estimates.
Lesson 06
Losses go on the wall
Transparent burn tracking as motivation
The Loss Board exists because rooms that hide losses repeat them. Publishing every burn, with date and transaction, turns a subtraction into a record you train against.
